Gatherings

A place to be together.
SUNDAYS 5–6PM

Sunday Evening Gathering

We gather 5:00-6:15pm every Sunday on the 3rd floor of Calvary Baptist Church to celebrate the good news of Jesus through Word, Song, and Sacrament. This weekly event is a time to remember and rehearse who God is and what He has done through His Son. We gather to be further equipped in this good news then scatter back out into everyday life to represent this news to our city, neighborhood, and workplace.

Missional Communities

Missional Communities

A missional community is a group of people (MC) living life together like a family. Each MC seeks to love and care for one another like family while seeking to serve a particular group of people or a particular place of need in our city. We believe followers of Jesus are best formed in relationships where there is life-on-life, life-in-community, and life-on-mission. How To Check Out an Missional Community
Soma Asheville is currently made up of 2 MC's. Mount Carmel MC meets every Tuesday evening from 6:30-8:30pm. Evergreen MC meets every Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00pm. Because we value relationship, each MC is committed to welcoming, adding, and growing new relationships. You are welcome to join us on one of our MC nights.

If you'd like for us to contact you ahead of time, please click on the box below and someone will be in touch with you shortly. Hope to see you join an MC for a meal, party, outing, or service project.
DNA Groups (3 or 4 People)
We all need help living lives of integrity. DNA groups have approximately three people (men with men and women with women) who meet twice monthly to nurture an ongoing life of repentance through the study of God's Word. Deep relationships are formed as we Discover the truth of God's Word, Nurture one another's heart towards repentance (turning from self-rule and welcoming Jesus' rule), and resolve to Act by living out of a renewed belief in who God is and what He has done for us in Jesus.
Discovering the “Story of God"
Many of us may have heard Bible stories. But most of us have never interacted with the single storyline of the Bible from beginning to end.

We know the world is not the way it should be. Our Story of God weekends share the Bible's story from Creation to Re-creation. It is the Story of God restoring all things back to Himself through Jesus—and it's the best news you'll ever hear. Together we move through the Story in a dialogue format, honestly seeking out answers from the Story. We believe God's grand Story is relevant to all of live and speaks into our deepest problems, both personal and global.
